Elavon Data Security Consultant Company: U.S. Bancorp Location: Knoxville, TN Description: General SummaryWorks on or may serve as project leader on large, very complex security implementations, including the development of security specifications and the resolution of complex security problems. Is competent at the highest technical level, understands whole systems architecture, has multi-systems knowledge and background, has full systems security expertise and is considered a security expert. Develops and trains less experienced technical staff. Possesses good planning, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. Operates under deadlines and multiple project responsibility. Typically has five or more years experience as a Security Analyst with demonstrated project leadership skills or a high degree of specialized expertise.Essential Functions· Analyzes information systems, functions, procedures, and processes that must be protected in accordance with security requirements.· Performs network and application vulnerability assessments and penetration tests. Assists system and applications owners in realizing technical risks. Provides validation testing to ensure remediation.· Remains up to date on new security threats and vulnerabilities, proactively protecting information assets.· Evaluates application development and participates in design meetings to recommend modifications and enhancements as needed to meet security requirements.· Assists in the implementation and management of new security technologies to ensure information systems are adequately protected.· As a member of the Incident Response Team, investigates, analyzes and resolves information security problems; may perform on-call duties.· Provides leadership and work direction to lesser-experienced staff.· Analyzes, organizes and leads assigned projects ensuring compliance with established goals and deadlines; prepares status reports; documents procedures for assigned projects.Your Career is Here.
