Description: Security Manager / Specialist (L4 or L5)
Description
This position will assist in establishing a corporate security program that ensures the protection of personnel, property and financial assets of the company. There will be a specific emphasis on the US Mexico border. This will be done through regular presence in the at our plant locations in the US and Mexico.
· Maintain a strong security presence while building relationships with all parties.
· Identify, recommend, help develop and deliver security learning and education events as needed
· Conduct investigations on any theft and fraud incidents and document findings and / or recommendations in report format. This includes conducting vendor audits on a monthly basis.
· Investigate any inappropriate occurrences and violence in the workplace
· Assist with reasonable suspicion drug testing of contractors, conduct contraband searches at Carrier facilities.
· Provide a ready resource for consulting on security issues
· Support surveillance needs
· Assist external law enforcement when required.
· Assist legal and operations to complete due diligence investigations as needed.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field with a minimum of 15 years of federal or state law enforcement and security related experience and is required.
· Must have a thorough knowledge of law enforcement and criminal investigation techniques. Having experience working in a corporate security function is a plus.
· Must be fluent in Spanish and English
· Must be a skilled interviewer, detail oriented and be a good communicator in person and in writing.
· Good technical skills and the ability to use a computer as a tool (Microsoft Office Tools) are required.
· Must have a current valid driver’s license with a “clean” driving record.
· This role requires the utmost confidentiality and the willingness to work extra hours at times.
· Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
· Must be able to travel into Mexico on average 3-4 times per month.
· Must be familiar with US / Mexico border laws.
