Major Duties:The incumbent of this position serves as a Criminal Investigator in the Fort Worth, TX area and as such; plans, coordinates, and conducts investigations into criminal and less frequently into civil violations of law and administrative matters relating to GSA programs and operations.  Investigates criminal violations most always described within Title 18 of the United States Code such as conspiracy, fraud, false statements, false claims, conflicts of interest, conversion of government property and bribery.  Performs investigative activities such as interviewing witnesses and subjects of investigations, executing search warrants, serving judicial process such as subpoenas and summons, conducting surveillance, and obtaining and preserving evidence.  Presents investigative results orally to clients such as U.S. Attorneys for determination of prosecution merit.  Prepares written reports of investigative activities and final reports of investigations within OIG guidelines.  May be called upon to assist an office review team during an office review.  Establishes and maintains liaison with investigative and legal personnel in other Offices of Inspector General, U.S. Attorney, Federal Bureau of Investigations and Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies for the purposes of obtaining and exchanging information relevant to investigations an cooperation in the conduct of investigative activities.Qualifications:Applicants must demonstrate, in their resume and responses to the vacancy questions that they meet the qualification requirements described below.
