You will be based at PNC's Washington DC corporate offices located at 800 17th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006.Your position will combine autonomy and strong support as you travel to use your skills and experience to provide expert consulting service to the Regional Community Banking branches in the Delaware, Maryland and Virginia regions on risk / loss compliance issues. Your position will include receiving daily phone call requests for assistance, on site branch visits to conduct audit initiatives, monitoring branch processes and procedures to ensure branch staff are in compliance with all branch procedures. You will conduct fraud, risk and loss avoidance training with branch staff and provide them with tools to recognize fraud activities and high risk customers. Each day you will review and monitor reports that provide information on significant processes and policy violations which result in bank losses. You will be required to take prompt action to reduce loss / risk to the bank.Special Job RequirementsThe successful candidate will have the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred, or 3-5 years of branch operations experience in risk and loss processes. Decision making and interpersonal skills are mandatory. Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of service partners and management. Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills are required. Knowledge of bank policies, procedures, systems and regulations related to bank processes and compliance are mandatory. POSITION OVERVIEW:The Senior Area Loss Prevention Manager (Sr. ALPM) is responsible for protecting the assets of Ross Stores, Inc. while achieving shortage & safety goals for assigned area. This is done by managing, promoting, & directing all LP initiatives & programs within assigned area & by developing & maintaining strong partnerships at the store, district, zone, & regional levels. Through effective Operations & HR partnerships, the Sr. ALPM implements company-driven shortage & safety solutions while providing regular direction & leadership to minimize operational shortage, mitigate theft & fraud, & maintain safe & secure environments for Ross associates & customers. At times, the Sr. ALPM will also work with other cross-functional groups to ensure integrated solutions positively impact shortage control & accident reduction initiatives.In addition, Sr. ALPMs manage theft processes within the region including the management of external theft resource allocation (i.e. undercover) & internal theft investigative processes. Periodically, Sr. ALPMs may need to support the response to, recovery from, & future prevention of serious incidents within assigned area.Sr. ALPMs will directly manage up to 3 ALPMs in key markets & are responsible for training new ALPM hires within the region. Sr. ALPMs will also serve as a resource & mentor for the regional ALPM team.
