Job Title: Supervisory Transportation Security Officer Screener Sv G Company: Location: Fort Wayne, IN Description: If selected as a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSO) you will be responsible for supervising employees performing pre-board security screening of persons, their carry-on and checked baggage/cargo. As assigned, you will supervise employees performing special program work. Additionally, you may serve as the sole supervisor in charge of any airport, or other transportation terminal, that provides commercial service to the public.Duties include: Directing work of subordinate employees to include: setting priorities, assigning tasks; monitoring and evaluating performance, coaching and developing employee capabilities; approving leave, recommending a variety of human resources actions such as promotions, reassignments, awards, etc; preparing performance evaluations, and taking or recommending corrective disciplinary actions up to and including dismissal, as appropriate. Overseeing screening checkpoint(s) on a day-to-day basis to include equipment, personnel; rotation of personnel. Maintaining and updating screening checkpoint log. Scheduling of screener personnel to provide efficient and effective screening of all persons, baggage, and cargo. Providing morning briefings to screener personnel. Participating in the development of new policies and procedures,  and recommending changes in policy and procedures based on observation of work, as required. Participating in the development of strategic planning initiatives, workforce planning, succession planning initiatives, and other reports and documents for Transportation Security Administration Headquarter (TSA-HQ) and superiors, as required. Developing incident information and reports for Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) and superiors. Preparing various types of communications, reports, and documents that are germane to the work performed. Conducting screening of passengers, baggage, and cargo. Controlling and monitoring passengers without using physical restraint, jeopardizing his/her safety or the safety of others. Serving as a member of the National Screening Force, as required.

Job Title: Surveillance Officer (Full Time) Company: Harrah's Entertainment Location: Elizabeth, IN Description: Responsible for observation of procedure and conduct at the gaming tables, play and operation of the video/slot machines, operation and procedure within the Casino Cashier?s cage, activities and operation of the Slot Attendant Change Banks and associated areas/activities. Other duties as assigned. Physical, Mental, & Environmental Demands: ? Must be able to work independently. ? Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time (5-8 hours). ? Must be able to maneuver from floor to floor via stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalators. ? Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property, including ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; and, the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, climb up and down stairs and ladders. ? Must have the manual dexterity to operate computers, surveillance equipment and other related equipment. ? Must be fluent and literate in English. ? Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights. ? Must be able to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.
