American K-9 Detection Services Inc. has been awarded a contract and is currently hiring experienced Narcotics and Explosives Dual Purpose K9 Handlers, Trainers and Kennel Masters for deployment overseas to KAF (Kandahar Air Field) and various FOBs (Forward Operating Bases) in Afghanistan. These deployments are for up to one year in duration with an option for further commitment beyond the initial deployment. This project offers a competitive pay and compensation package. These are immediate openings with training and deployments occurring over the next several weeks.
Canine Handler Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years experience handling Military Working Dogs or Police Service Canines
•Minimum of one year experience handling explosives or narcotics detection canines
•Ability to Pass a National Agency Check and criminal background investigation
•Must be third party trained (i.e. Prior military training from the 341st CWDTS or Municipal Government-Sponsored Canine Handler’s Course)
•Must be able to apply and be approved for a valid US Passport before deployment
Canine Trainer/Supervisor Qualifications:
•Minimum of 4 years experience as a K-9 Handler.
•Must be third party trained (i.e. Prior military training from the 341st CWDTS or Municipal Government-Sponsored Canine Trainer’s Course).
•Minimum of 2 years experience as a Narcotics or Explosives Detection Handler.

Canine Kennel Master/Project Manager Qualifications:

Responsibilites and Duties:
- FSO must demonstrate knowledge and experience to develop, implement and manage a comprehensive security program.
- FSO will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
FSO must be in compliance with the following
- National Industrial Security Policy Operating manual (NISPOM) and supplement requirements.
- Department of Defense (DOD) security policies and procedures as they relate to MISPOM.
- DOE National Security System Manuals and other relevant manuals and regulations.
- Defense Security Service (DSS).
FSO will be responsible for:
- Processing personnel security clearances and periodic reinvestigations using e-QIP, developing, implementing an providing secruity awareness training for site personnel
- In-brief and out-brief procedures and annual refresher briefings
- Maintaining document and visitor control records and coordinating the sending of visit requests
- Conducting periodic self-inspection and review of security process to ensure compliance
- Monitoring classified information systems and controlled areas, investigating and reporting security violations and adverse information reports with the appropriate security agency
- Participate in internal investigation, establishing and maintaining working relationships with government and internal customers.
- Serve as the classified management specialist providing classification guidance to employees and subcontractors, issuing DD form 254s and tracking DD form 254s issued or received
- Responding to after hour alarms and emergency conditions
- Intrepret and implement SCI and SAP security policy and guidance, and provide oversight and assistance to staff
FSO must demostrate the following Knowledge and Experience:
- 5 to 7 years in government/industrial security and in-depth knowledge of NISPOM required
- Experience with SIMS, DIAS, JPAS and e-QIP required
- Military experience with managing a SCI facility or facilities is preferred
- Experience with industry operation under a FOCI agreement is preferred
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, ISP and CPP preferred or equivalent in education and experience
Additional Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
- Certified FSO, ISSM and COMSEC Custodian preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required
Hours: 9+ daily (9/80 work schedule) - must be able to support off-shift events/investigations
