Homestead National Monument of America is located in southeast Nebraska, four miles west of the City of Beatrice (population 13,000). Beatrice has an active arts community (including a community theater) and is home to a variety of organized sports leagues for all ages. Weather conditions are moderate, ranging from 90 degrees in the summer to 15 degrees in the winter.
