Job Title: Campus Public Safety Officer Company: Location: Portland, OR Description: Performs varied assignments related to providing safety and emergency response services to students, faculty and staff. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Patrols buildings and grounds on foot, bicycle or with a University vehicle. ? Completes incident reports and related forms. ? Secures and opens buildings. Responds to fire and intrusion alarm activation. ? Keeps informed on campus activities and provide information to students, faculty, staff and visitors. ? PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Rigorous field work requires above average physical performance, endurance and superior conditioning.  This includes prolonged standing, walking over uneven ground, and recurring bending, reaching, lifting and carrying of items weighing over 50 pounds and shared lifting and carrying of heavier items, and similar strenuous activities requiring agility and dexterity.
