Report all incidents, accidents, or medical emergencies as required. Respond to emergencies, such as medical and bomb threats; and to alarms, such as fire and intrusion by following emergency response proceedings. Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.   Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.   Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.   Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.   Patrol industrial or commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.   Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.   Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited  articles into restricted areas.   Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.   Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and verbally evict violators from premises. Job Title: Park Ranger Law Enforcement Company: Location: Flagstaff, AZ Description: The incumbent will serve as a Level II Law Enforcement Commissioned Ranger with the Flagstaff; Area Monuments (Walnut Canyon, Sunset Crater Volcano and Wupatki National Monuments), The incumbent is responsible for .performing law enforcement duties including detection, investigation, apprehension, detention, and prosecution under the provisions of applicable-laws, rules, and regulations enacted to insure the protection and safe use of National Park resources.  These positions perform investigations, and patrols developed areas and critical cultural resource/archaeological areas by vehicle and on foot.  These positions provide for basic law enforcement functions and emergency services, to protect park- natural and cultural resources, visitor centers, entrance stations, and assist other agencies in the greater Flagstaff area.   Government quarters may be available.  Selectee may live in shared government quarters.  Shared quarters do not provide facilities for housing family members and pets are not allowed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Rigorous field work requires above average physical performance, endurance and superior conditioning.  This includes prolonged standing, walking over uneven ground, and recurring bending, reaching, lifting and carrying of items weighing over 50 pounds and shared lifting and carrying of heavier items, and similar strenuous activities requiring agility and dexterity. Duties often involve working in isolated outdoor environments while exposed to severe weather conditions.  Dangerous persons must be physically confronted, subdued, and apprehended many of whom are known to carry weapons.  There is a high-stress component associated with much of the incumbent's work assignment.
