Job Title: Security Officer Company: ONSemiconductor Corp. Location: Pocatello, ID Description: As an ON Semiconductor Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing access control to ON Semiconductor facilities and for ensuring proper ID for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendor personnel. You will perform safety and security patrols, inspections, documentation and follow-up of observed discrepancies with appropriate departments. You will operate PBX switchboard, multi-line security phone system, radios, and public address systems. You will effectively assess and respond to security, fire, chemical and evacuation alarm systems, involving emergency response personnel as required. In addition, you will monitor and assess video surveillance systems, dispatch Security personnel (and Police if needed) to investigate criminal or unauthorized activities. You will initiate Incident Reports, logs all reported activities in the Daily Activity Report and other logs as required. You will respond to chemical leaks, spills, odors, using appropriate PPE's, secure scene and notify appropriate response personnel   Position Requirements Successful candidates for this position will have: - A valid Idaho driver's License.- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug testing.- Security, law enforcement, emergency medical or Hazmat experience preferred.- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time. May include physical labor such as lifting.- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.- Ability to follow verbal instructions from supervision and written policies and procedures.- Ability to work efficiently during periods of increased stress and emergency situations.- Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute (will be tested).- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Photo Editor) and Lotus Outlook email.- Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate strong dependability. - Strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to deal with conflict appropriately.- Ability to meet mandatory schedule changes, such as; overtime, shift work, training and rotating work schedules.- Ability to be certified to AED and CPR for the Professional, Blood Borne Pathogens, Incident Command Systems, Hazmat Technician and EMS First Responder level training and demonstrated effective skill sets in each area.- A working knowledge of basic safety and security protocols.- A high level of ability to maintain confidentiality and protect unclassified and classified information.- Ability to conduct basic investigations and document findings for further follow up by supervision or area specialists.
