This position is under the direct supervision of the security supervisor for assigned shift of the security department and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers and all visitors.

Performs security patrols.
Enforces proxy badge procedures.
Protects property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents.
Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.
Provides any needed assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
Serves as training officer to new security staff.
May perform duties of a security supervisor during required coverage as assigned and performs other related duties as assigned by a security supervisor and/or security department director.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. You will be trained and mentored for supervisor and will be ready if such positions become available.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.
This position may require travel 50% of the time.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 25 years of age.
Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
Must be proficient with firearms.
Preferred Education and Experience
Military/Security/law enforcement experience.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
