The Role

This customer facing position is part of the mandated 724365 Fraud Center. This position monitors, detects, and investigates fraudulent activity on the Lumen network using various systems and tools. Conducts in-depth fraud investigations and calling pattern analysis to protect Lumen revenue. Performs root-cause analysis, risk assessment, identifies fraud patterns, and takes corrective action to limit exposure to international or domestic fraud and/or abuse impacting customers or Lumen network. Position performs critical duties associated with mitigating real-time incidents related to illegal robocall/callerID fraud schemes, call annoyance, Telephony Denial of Service attacks (TDoS), or emergency call search events. Position also performs critical duties associated with real time incident management of UNICall functions (Safety and environmental, corporate security emergency calls, Cyber incident response team, bomb threats, theft and vandalism, and disaster preparedness)

Location

This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities

- Associates Degree or equivalent required and 2 years of Telecom or Fraud related field.

- Must have the ability to debrief customers and choose a course of action based on investigative results.

- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Must be flexible and able to quickly adapt to changes and prioritize tasks/responsibilities.

- Strong PC skills with Microsoft Office suite of products-MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.

- Success in this position requires the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently, proficiency with a wide array of systems and applications, the ability to be analytical and decisive while understanding the impact decisions have to a customer, a victim and to the corporation.
