Safety Manager
Our client, a trusted leader in the manufacturing space, is seeking a dynamic and proactive Safety Manager to join their team! With over 100 years in the industry, our client has built a reputation for quality, craftsmanship and innovation in faucet manufacturing. This role offers the unique opportunity to work hands-on with a respected brand that values safety as much as it values the precision of its products.
As the Safety Manager, you'll be the go-to safety expert for their manufacturing facility in Milwaukee, with oversight of their Chicago and Indiana locations as well, championing safety initiatives that keep over 180 employees secure and operations compliant.
Safety Manager Responsibilities:
Lead and elevate safety and environmental compliance efforts, including OSHA reporting, incident investigations and adherence to all regulatory standards, creating a safe and compliant environment across facilities
Design and conduct engaging training sessions to instill a culture of safety, emergency readiness and best practices, helping teams stay informed and empowered on the job
Own risk assessments and audit preparation for both internal and external reviews, including upholding ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. Identify areas for improvement and drive innovative solutions to keep everyone safe
Proactively manage incident tracking, reporting and analysis, leveraging insights to continually improve safety measures and prevent recurrence
Establish strong relationships across teams, from the manufacturing floor to leadership, creating an open line of communication for safety concerns, improvement ideas and compliance requirements
Safety Manager Requirements:
3+ years of experience in an EHS role, with a focus on safety within a durable goods manufacturing environment. Experience in food manufacturing, logistics or distribution is not applicable
OSHA 30 Hour certification or ASQ Certified Quality Auditor preferred but not required
Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for safety. Must be confident engaging employees on the production floor, leading impactful training sessions and partnering with leaders to drive a culture of safety
Degree in a related field is preferred but not required
Ability to travel once per month or as needed to Chicago and Indiana locations
