Job Description:

The Security Staff/Greeter position involves providing consistent, welcoming and secure experience to both internal staff members and patients. The Greeter will actively welcome patients and other visitors to the sites and invite them to check in for their appointments via the Kiosks or front desk, as appropriate. They will work with patients to enhance the customer experience and build relationships. The Greeter will inform patients of agency priorities and initiatives while supporting the patients usage of the kiosk. They will aid the patient in way finding or directions to the correct waiting areas including for the lab, urgent care or other clinical services. It is essential that they demonstrate efforts to maintain and improve job specific competencies, and perform other duties as assigned.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service / Greeter Duties:

  • Warmly greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors upon arrival.
  • Provide directions and facility information with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Encourage and assist patients with kiosk sign-in; redirect to front desk as appropriate.
  • Answer general inquiries and assist with wayfinding inside the facility.
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-stress or emotional situations.

Security Duties:

  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas (including parking lot) for suspicious behavior or safety concerns. Ensure all non-staff members have left the facility at close of operations (as applicable).
  • Politely and professionally, enforce facility policies, including access control.
  • Work closely with site management and staff to prevent potential incidents.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies in accordance with procedures.
  • Report and document security incidents and unusual activity.
  • Assist with de-escalation and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills and Education

  • Associates degree, Medical Assistant or other applicable certification
  • Relevant customer service and site security experience
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
    • Excellent observation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
    • Proven ability to Multi Task
    • Problem Solving and critical thinking skills a plus
    • Bilingual Skills required (Spanish)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hours will vary; our schedules range Monday-Friday from 7am-7pm and weekends.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to operate computer or tablet.
