We are working with a growing manufacturing organization in the Houston, TX area that is seeking a hungry, high-energy Safety Manager to take the lead on standardizing safety across their rapidly growing manufacturing operations. They are expanding fast, and need a hands-on leader to move away from "site-by-site" rules and build a single, powerhouse safety program that works for every facility. This isn't about sitting in an office; it's about getting on the floor, identifying what works, and rolling out unified procedures that protect our people as we scale. If you are eager to build a legacy and grow your career alongside a booming company, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities
- Standardize Procedures: Review current practices at all locations and create one "Gold Standard" for safety policies, ensuring consistency in LOTO, machine guarding, and hazardous materials handling.
- On-the-Ground Training: Develop and deliver engaging safety training that resonates with shop-floor employees. Move beyond "check-the-box" training to build a true culture of safety.
- Site Inspections & Audits: Travel to various facilities to conduct thorough safety audits, identifying gaps and working directly with plant teams to fix them immediately.
- New Site Integration: Lead the safety setup for newly opened or acquired facilities, ensuring they hit our high standards from day one.
- Incident Response: Lead investigations into near-misses and accidents. Don't just file a report-find the root cause and implement the fix across all locations so it never happens again.
- Equipment Compliance: Partner with maintenance and production teams to ensure all new and existing machinery meets standardized safety specifications.
- Travel: Be present where the work is happening; expect to travel frequently (up to 50%) to support our different teams.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5+ years of "boots-on-the-ground" safety experience in a manufacturing environment. You should know your way around a plant floor.
- Drive: You are ambitious, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment. You don't wait for instructions-you see a need and act on it.
- Knowledge: Deep familiarity with OSHA 1910 standards. You should be able to translate complex regulations into simple, actionable steps for the crew.
- Communication: Ability to connect with everyone from the CEO to the newest hire. You need to be able to "sell" safety and get buy-in from people who have "always done it this way."
- Certifications: OSHA 30-hour is required; ASP, CSP, or similar certifications are a big plus.
- Flexibility: Ready and willing to travel between facilities and adjust your approach as the company continues to expand.
