Health Safety and Security Supervisor

This Health Safety and Security Supervisor will support this 220 facility. Will have 4 or direct reports. The main thrust of this position is OSHA compliance and initiate and maintain safety programs.

EXPERIENCE: BS in Safety related field with CSP being desired. They are looking for 520 years of experience. From the Chemical, Refinery or Petrochemical Industry. TWIC card is a plus. Though this person will work with the coast guard for security issues experience with the Coast Guard is not required.

Position Title: Health, Safety, and Security Supervisor 2.0

Nature & Objective: A supervisory position for the Site Services Department of this refinery The Health, Safety, and Security Supervisor provides leadership and mentorship, direction, and support to ensure the team provides service and support for all operational activities of the facility. This position will be instrumental in promoting a premier company safety culture. 3.0 Reports to: Site Services Manager 4.0 Position Qualifications:

  • High levels of Trust, Humility, Character, Integrity, Resolve, and Respect
  • Requires a self-motivated person that pays attention to details with excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in applicable field, preferred.
  • Five years of operations experience in refining or chemical processing facility.
  • Five years of experience in a safety related role, preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional designation, preferred.

  • Work with the Site Services Team and corporate HSE department to create and maintain a shared vision, shared values, and an environment where employees can be fully involved in achieving departmental and company goals or objectives.
  • Promote the advancement of Occupational Safety performance beyond compliance to the regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee facility security activities to ensure compliance with corporate, OSHA, and federal agency requirements.
  • Oversee occupational health activities to ensure medical support for employees in accordance with company and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Serve as an administrator for the Odyssey software for incident reporting and investigation.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or assessments to ensure conformance to applicable standards and internal program requirements.
  • Assist in developing and analyzing various Occupational Safety KPIs to focus on continuous improvement of the site Safety Management Systems
  • Coordinate with Operations and Training to determine training needs, evaluate employee performance, and develop training programs to improve employee knowledge, skills, and performance.
  • Coordinate Contractor Management program
  • Champion the creation and management of an on-site rescue team.
  • Assist in Life Saving Rules development and management.
