Complex Safety Manager (Poultry Industry)

Manage safety & health programs, ensuring prevention of injuries, illness, and property loss.
Manage regulatory requirements, ensuring prevention of citations and penalties.
Manage medical and worker's compensation related activities.
Ensure appropriate documentation (i.e. certificate of insurance, safety training, OSHA log, etc.).
Facilitate and attend Executive Safety Committee, Joint Safety/Ergonomic Committee, and other committee meetings.
Analyze and submit data for Monthly DART Rate report.
Monitor and administer safety programs (i.e. Lock out/Tag Out, Confined Space/Ergonomic, Hot Work/Industrial Hygiene, etc.).
Conduct monthly safety inspections and audit activities.
Assist with conducting accident investigations.
All other relevant tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree, preferably in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or other closely related discipline required.
7+ years relevant safety management experience, preferably within poultry industry.
Technical knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Certification as Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and electrical systems.
Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, DOT, Worker's Compensation, etc.).
Proficient technology and computer skills.
