Pay: From $62,816.00 per year

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Associates Degree in safety-related field (Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health)

Minimum five years' experience in a safety-related position, preferably in a manufacturing environment

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Advanced knowledge of OSHA standards

Certified in First Aid/CPR/AED

Certified forklift operator

Certified as forklift train-the-trainer or ability to obtain certification within six months of employment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develops, implements, monitors, and manages plant safety programs.

Ensures general safety policies and procedures are in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations..

Knowledge of CA OSHA or willing to obtain working knowledge within one year of employment.

Develops and implements emergency preparedness plans and conducts timely drills.

Receives, reviews, and responds to incidents involving safety as well as hazards and near misses.

Leads the safety committee.
