Overview
- The Armed Security Officer provides first response to emergencies, enforces federal law and assimilated state law, and conducts mobile patrols.
- Provide access control and traffic control , ensuring safe and secure entry, exit, and movement throughout designated areas.
- Conduct armed security patrols , both on foot and in motorized vehicles, to maintain a visible security presence and deter unauthorized activity.
- Perform personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks to verify compliance with security standards and procedures.
- Inspect packages and parcels in accordance with established security guidelines.
- Work flexible hours , including weekends and holidays, based on operational requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of overall security operations.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard), or
- Preferred, but not required : Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer - armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard), orassociate's degree in a Security or Law Enforcement related field, orsuccessful completion of a police officers basic training academy.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license.
- Ability to successfully meet all Physical Agility Test (PAT) standards as required by the customer
- Completion and passing of the MMPI psychological assessment
