Central Station Operator

Cape Cod Alarm Company has an open position for Central Station Operator (Full-Time):

Schedule
Flex shift: typically, Monday through Friday 9am-5pm, but will fill gaps in the schedule as needed.

Central Station operates 24/7; availability on weekends, holidays, & during inclement weather is a requirement.

Essential duties may include:
Answering incoming phone calls, directing them to the proper channels;
Responding to alarm events, engaging with subscribers & emergency services as needed;
Troubleshooting over the phone, providing assistance & guidance to callers

Ideal candidates:
Possess strong customer service skills, including problem solving;
Are able to perform basic data entry & type at a functional level;
Are computer literate (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office skills a plus);
Can speak fluent English; be able to speak loudly & coherently for the entire shift;
Are comfortable working in a group office, as part of a team of operators;
Must be reliable, punctual & able to work in-office for all scheduled shifts;
Must have reliable transportation to & from our offices;
Are able to multitask & keep highly organized in a fast paced & sometimes stressful environment

All applicants considered will be given a background screening, must be able to pass a CORI check & obtain a Massachusetts Department of Public Safety Security Certificate of Clearance.

Experience in a central station operator or related position is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
