Event Security Officer Location: Grand Junction, CO 81506 Pay: $25.00 per hour Employment Type: Event-Based / As Needed Schedule: Most assignments take place during evenings and weekends | Shift lengths vary by event size and operational needs Position Overview Citadel Security USA is seeking dependable Event Security Officers to assist with live events throughout Western Colorado. Assignments may include concerts, community festivals, sporting events, private gatherings, and large public venues. This position is active and fast-paced, requiring officers who can remain attentive in crowded environments while interacting professionally with guests, vendors, and event staff. Officers should be comfortable adapting to changing situations and working as part of a coordinated event team. Coverage Area Assignments may take place in: Grand Junction Rifle Glenwood Springs Eagle Aspen Vail Montrose Ouray Telluride Travel between event locations may be required depending on scheduling needs. Key Responsibilities Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout assigned venues Assist with guest entry procedures, including bag inspections and ID verification when required Help manage crowd movement and monitor high-traffic areas Observe for unsafe conditions, disturbances, or suspicious behavior and report concerns promptly Support enforcement of venue policies, including restricted access and alcohol-related guidelines Communicate effectively with supervisors, event coordinators, and fellow team members Provide courteous assistance to attendees, vendors, and staff during events Follow all post instructions, event procedures, and company standards throughout each assignment Complete basic incident documentation when necessary Minimum Qualifications Ability to travel throughout Western Colorado for scheduled assignments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working in busy public environments with large crowds Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to remain calm and professional during high-activity situations Must be able to pass a background screening Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in event security, crowd management, or venue operations Background in hospitality, customer service, or public-facing roles Familiarity with access control or guest screening procedures Ability to work effectively in team-oriented environments Equal Opportunity Employer Citadel Security USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
