Day Time Mon 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM Wed 05:00 PM - 12:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited activity in accordance with post orders and location protocols.
- Prepare reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or observed conditions, and support requests for assistance from employees, visitors, and/or the public in a professional manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a corrections officer license.
- Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
