Job Description

Join our dynamic team to manage and enhance our corporate cybersecurity environment. You will be responsible for conducting vulnerability scans, developing and executing remediation plans, and maintaining security documentation that aligns with evolving standards. Support our cybersecurity efforts across various projects and programs, ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53. This role also involves performing container scans on equipment to bolster our security measures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the corporate cybersecurity environment.
• Conduct vulnerability scans to identify potential security risks.
• Develop and execute remediation plans to mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
• Maintain and update security documentation in line with evolving cybersecurity standards.
• Support cybersecurity efforts across various projects and programs.
• Perform container scans on equipment to ensure security integrity.
• Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 guidelines.

Essential Skills

• Experience with NIST frameworks, specifically NIST 800-53.
• Proficiency in using SIEM tools for security monitoring.
• Hands-on experience in vulnerability management and remediation planning.
• A minimum of 1 year of cybersecurity experience is required.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain a Secret clearance, which will be sponsored by GALT.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of cybersecurity experience is preferred.
• Experience in a DoD or cleared environment is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

You will be joining a team consisting of 3 IT team members and 1 Cybersecurity Specialist. The objective is to increase bandwidth and support ongoing initiatives, not to backfill a position.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
