Unarmed Security Guard

Job Store Staffing is hiring Front Lobby, Unarmed Security Guard to support a secure, youth-centered facility in the Grand Junction, CO area! This role is focused on maintaining a safe and controlled entry point while providing a professional and respectful presence.

The Unarmed Security Guard is a non-engagement role. If suspicious activity is observed, you will report it via radio rather than intervene directly

Pay rate: $23/hr

Schedules Available:

Monday-Friday; 6am-2pm
Monday-Friday; 12pm-8pm
Saturday & Sunday; 6am-2pm
Saturday & Sunday; 12pm-8pm
Key Responsibilities:

Search all bags, deliveries, and personal items entering the facility
Monitor individuals passing through a metal detector
Conduct wanding or pat-downs when necessary
Ensure only approved items are brought inside
Perform exterior walkthroughs to observe for suspicious activity (as needed)
Identify concerns such as attempted fence breaches or contraband
Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older
Previous security experience OR strong customer service background
Comfortable enforcing rules in a professional and respectful manner
Ability to remain alert, calm, and composed in a structured environment
Strong communication skills
Work Environment & Requirements:

Weapon-free facility
No phones or personal electronics allowed inside (must be left in vehicle)
Business casual dress code (belt and closed-toe shoes required)
