As an Armed Security Guard, you'll be a critical component of our security team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all Cherokee Nation Entertainment (CNE) properties, guests, and employees. This role requires a vigilant and proactive approach to security, including patrols, incident response, and maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. You'll work closely with local law enforcement and leadership to uphold a secure and welcoming environment.

- Actively patrol CNE properties, including casinos, smoke shops, and parking lots, to protect physical assets, guests, and employees. Report all safety hazards to leadership.
- Prevent guests from entering with prohibited items and address any violations of policies and procedures. Verify identification to ensure compliance with age requirements.
- Greet guests, provide directions, and offer aid to anyone who requests or requires it.
- Respond promptly to accidents and incidents, performing CPR and first aid procedures as needed.
- Detect suspicious activity and behavior, notify leadership, and maintain detailed written incident reports following established policies.
- Maintain strong working relationships with local law enforcement agencies and fire and safety departments.
- Prepare written reports of investigations, criminal, and patrol activities. Interview witnesses and obtain signatures, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 6 months of experience in security or a related field.
- State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) armed security guard license preferred at time of hire; required within 180 days of hire or transfer date.
- Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license required.
- Working knowledge of firearms and defensive tactics.
- Working knowledge of surveillance video systems and how to maintain a chain of evidence.
- Ability to pass a CNE security-approved custody control and weapons training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Comfortable working in diverse settings, including climate-controlled offices, outdoors in all types of weather, and casino floors with exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
