Duties
Help
As a Security Specialist (Protection), GS-0080-09, you will serve as the Antiterrorism/Force Protection (ATFP) Planning Support Specialist on all aspects of ATFP. Plans the development, implemention and operion of the ATFP program in support of policies, regulions and programs. Develops the overall ATFP plan for Army Nional Guard facilities within the Ste. Provides direction, guidance, advice and assistance to all subordine elements on the ATFP program. Provides crisis management planning and execution assistance in the event of a terrorist tack or other emergency situions. Assures the adequacy of policies, plans, directives, budgets, procedures and other approprie media required to plan and implement ATFP projects, tasks, and opering programs for carrying out emergency response missions in an emergency ATFP situion. Develops scenarios for ATFP exercises to test and coordines participion in exercises to test, evalue and valide selected portions of the overall Command ATFP plan. Advises the Command Group upon completion of exercises and simulions. Adjust or revises plans, and programs as required. Incumbent may be required to assist with a wide variety of plans, training and operional tasks, to include, but not limited to, staffing actions, tasking, preparing and presenting briefings, coordinion of training requirements, planning/conducting special events, and reviewing Serious Incident/ Command Critical Informion Requirements Reports (SIR/CCIR).

Must tend the ARNG Security Manager Course within 12 months of hire.
Must obtain the Security Professional Certificion(s) within 24 months of hire.
Must possess a minimum of a secret clearance. (Depending on Ste's mission set, the position may be required to obtain and maintain a top-secret clearance).
Qualificions
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Cegory 1 & 3 Only. Cegory 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency WITH dual FL Nional Guard military membership; Cegory 3: All current military members of the Florida Nional Guard.
PCS: Permanent Change of Stion (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorizion for payment of PCS expenses granted ONLY after determinion is made th payment is in the best interest of the Florida Nional Guard.
Recruitment / Relocion: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determinion is made th payment is in the best interest of the Florida Nional Guard.

MILITARY GRADES: Warrant Officers/Enlisted: E5 thru CW5
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS09 Must have least one year of specialized experiences the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a working knowledge of Nional Guard missions, organizions, and federal civilian or military personnel programs; experience, educion or training in collecting and analyzing da effectively, efficiently, and accurely. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical merial. Ability to communice clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presention and report forms. Demonstred ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulions, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immedie risk levels; experience with Physical Security (PHYSEC), Antiterrorism (AT), Operions Security (OPSEC), ISOPREP, Visitor Control and other Security and Crime Prevention programs to ensure command compliance with all applicable Security Regulions; experience managing Security Guard contracts and experience serving as the point of contact for all Visitor Control issues.

Successful completion ofmaster's or equivalent gradue degree

2 full years of progressively higher level gradue educion leading to such a degree
