Security Guard

Location : Birmingham, AL 35211, USA Shift Time - 40.00 hours minimum. Rotating schedule. 9am - 5:30pm. Must be open 7 days a week. Work Monday-Sunday, then off Monday and Tuesday. Then work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and off Saturday and Sunday. Then it will rotate The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and daily operational support of cemetery grounds. This role ensures the property is secure, assists with funeral service processions, and provides excellent customer service to visiting families and guests. Job Responsibilities: Patrol cemetery grounds to ensure safety and security of the property Monitor entrances, exits, and surrounding areas for unauthorized activity Lead funeral services and processions to burial sites in a respectful and professional manner Open and close cemetery gates according to scheduled operating hours Assist visitors with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a courteous demeanor Report incidents, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to management Occasionally transport deposits to the bank as needed Maintain professionalism and sensitivity while interacting with grieving families and guests Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required Ability to remain professional and compassionate in a cemetery environment Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Education/Experience: Previous security, groundskeeping, or customer service experience preferred
