Location: Aurora, Colorado
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Treston Security Services is seeking dependable and observant Firewatch Security Officers for an abandoned restaurant property in Aurora, Colorado.

This position is responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, conducting routine patrols, monitoring for fire hazards and safety concerns, and helping protect the property from trespassing, vandalism, theft, and other unauthorized activity.

The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive to detail, and capable of working independently while maintaining accurate documentation and consistent communication with supervisors.

• Conduct regular patrols of the property and surrounding areas
• Monitor for fire hazards, smoke, unsafe conditions, and potential safety concerns
• Observe and report suspicious activity, trespassing, vandalism, or unauthorized access
• Maintain accurate firewatch logs, patrol records, and incident reports
• Report emergencies, safety concerns, property damage, and security incidents immediately
• Serve as a visible deterrent to criminal activity and unauthorized entry
• Ensure compliance with all site-specific firewatch procedures and client requirements
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, emergency responders, and property representatives
• Respond calmly and professionally during incidents and emergency situations
• Assist with securing the property and identifying potential safety risks

• Previous security, firewatch, patrol, or site protection experience preferred
• Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout a 12-hour shift
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Professional appearance and demeanor required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Prior firewatch experience
• Military or veteran experience
• Experience working at vacant, construction, industrial, or low-occupancy properties
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and incident reporting
