Summary:

The Senior Security Supervisor is responsible for providing strategic oversight and senior-level leadership of security operations across ASM Global-managed facilities. This role serves as the primary supervisory authority for all security staff, with an emphasis on staff development, operational excellence, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for events, ASM Global employees, and guests. The Senior Security Supervisor plays a key role in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of security policies and procedures, and acts as the senior on-site lead during the move-in/move-out of trade shows, conventions, and events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior-level supervision and leadership to Security Supervisors and security staff across all assigned shifts and events.

  • Oversee scheduling, post assignments, and staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage for all events and facility operations.

  • Lead pre-shift briefings and post-event debriefs, identifying performance trends and areas for improvement.

  • Develop, implement, and regularly review security operational policies and procedures in collaboration with Security Management.

  • Serve as the senior on-site incident commander during emergency situations, coordinating response efforts and ensuring proper escalation to management.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with local Fire and Police Departments, serving as a senior point of contact for off-duty details and emergency coordination.

  • Mentor and coach Security Supervisors and staff, supporting professional development and consistent enforcement of standards.

  • Oversee completion of incident reports and ensure documentation is thorough, timely, and communicated appropriately to leadership.

  • Monitor and audit compliance with all security protocols, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.

  • Represent the security department in cross-functional meetings with event operations, guest services, and facility management teams as needed.

  • Work independently to assess complex situations and make sound, strategic decisions in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive security experience in a similar venue or event environment, with at least 23 years in a supervisory or senior lead capacity.

  • Valid driver's license required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to lead multiple supervisors and a large security team in a complex, high-volume event environment.

  • Advanced organizational, planning, and situational awareness skills.

  • Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills with the ability to manage high-pressure situations calmly and decisively.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable presenting to and interfacing with senior management and external agencies.

  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make strategic decisions with minimal oversight.

  • Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.

  • Proficiency in security systems, incident reporting software, and general computer applications.

Compensation:

$23.70 - Part Time
