Site Safety Manager - Marshalltown, IA

Pay: Competitive (Based on Experience)

Duration: 18+ Months

Per Diem: Daily federal GSA per diem and/or mileage reimbursement provided

Trade Management, a Peoplelink Group Company, is seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager for a large-scale power generation construction project in Marshalltown, Iowa. This is a long-term opportunity for a safety professional with strong construction safety leadership experience and a passion for ensuring safe work practices in high-risk environments.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and verify contractor compliance with safety regulations and project safety requirements
• Conduct field observations, inspections, and audits
• Participate in safety meetings, pre-task planning sessions, and toolbox talks
• Identify and communicate safety risks and concerns
• Support incident investigations, trend analysis, and corrective action follow-up
• Provide routine safety reporting and recommendations to project leadership
• Promote Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) prevention initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of construction safety experience
• Experience on power generation, heavy industrial, energy, or large-scale construction projects preferred
• CHST, ASP, or CSP certification strongly preferred
• Experience reviewing JHAs, lift plans, confined space permits, and critical work plans
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926
• Ability to influence and build relationships without direct authority
• Must be able to work in an active construction environment and wear required PPE

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Construction Management, or related field
• Owner-representative safety experience
• Experience with SIF prevention and critical risk management programs
