- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help support authorized access, observe interactions, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unattended property.
- Assist with de-escalation support and direction-giving for individuals seeking services, while helping staff with order maintenance and other security-related requests as appropriate to the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
