Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entry points, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access to the location by observing visitors, staff, and residents, verifying authorization when required, and reporting unusual behavior or security-related issues.
• Support a respectful environment by using de-escalation techniques, following post orders, and communicating with supervisors and/or public sector representatives as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
