Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out site-specific procedures, access practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and high-traffic locations, assist with visitor directions and/or general questions, and report maintenance, lighting, and other property issues that could affect daily operations.
• Support campus protocols during arrivals, dismissals, events, and/or after-hours activity by observing site conditions, following post orders, and relaying relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
