Security Officer Patrol Representative

As a Security Officer Patrol Representative in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a busy retail and mall location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. You will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team that puts people first and brings an innovative approach to every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to identify policy violations, assist with access-related concerns, and/or report maintenance or hazard issues to site management.
• Support retail operations during opening, closing, and peak traffic periods by providing a visible presence, assisting visitors with directions, and/or following post orders for security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
