- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access support, and security-related response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas, helping to identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor entrances, common areas, and assigned posts to help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or disruptive behavior within a government location.
- Complete routine reports and logs related to patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and follow post orders and department guidelines while supporting daily operations at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
