Surveillance Technician

The Surveillance Technician is responsible for the installation, repair and routine/daily maintenance of the surveillance system and equipment both in and outside of the property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checks all surveillance equipment daily at the start of the shift to ensure all are in good working condition.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs the surveillance equipment as the need arises.
  • Installs cameras, recorders and other components of the surveillance system.
  • Must know Pelco Video Management systems and how to repair DVR, NVR, Etc., related equipment.
  • Maintains all components of the Surveillance Room.
  • Maintains an inventory of spare parts needed in the repair of the surveillance equipment. Makes requisition request for purchase of the lacking parts.
  • Maintains an accurate log of all downed equipment and repairs, showing length of error and when repaired.
  • Coordinates with Surveillance Operators regarding equipment related problems.
  • Keeps the surveillance equipment (and areas) clean at all times.
  • Must be available to respond to 24/7 emergency calls to perform or facilitate emergency repairs anywhere surveillance equipment is utilized.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend technical manuals, manufacturer specifications, and troubleshooting guides used in the installation and repair of technical investigative equipment.12.
  • Other related duties as assigned.13.
  • Will assist in regular Surveillance Operator duties in down time and when needed. This includes covering Operator shifts, creating incident reports, logs, and actively patrolling the property via CCTV when not working on technical duties.
  • Follows all directives of Surveillance Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum 6 months previous experience in similar position within the gaming industry.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and Driver's License required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Advanced mathematical comprehension required.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have Microsoft Office experience and program knowledge of: Pelco systems.

MACHINERY USED

Small hand tools, drills, ladders
