Security Officer - Route Patrol

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out assigned procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to verify that authorized individuals, vehicles, and/or deliveries are admitted in accordance with site procedures.
• Support daily operations by preparing reports, noting maintenance or policy issues, and assisting with security-related requests in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
