- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as required, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior observed during patrols.
- Support site operations by following post orders, communicating with staff and visitors, and assisting with access control and incident response as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
