What You’ll Do:?? As a Security Supervisor at Sodexo, you will work with management on site to coordinate activities of security officers engaged in safety of occupants, detecting suspicious activity, patrol functions, and general physical security/protection of people, operations and assets. You will have the opportunity to grow your leadership and training skills by providing guidance to a team of security professionals, while maintaining adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and organizational service standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations of the security team and serve as a working lead, assists officers on post, and may be required to conduct officer functions, as needed.
- Support in orienting, mentoring and training security officers at site with a servant leadership approach.
- Interviews guests and employees to detect infringements and to investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism and accidents or incidents.
- Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
- May assist management and law enforcement officials in emergency situations, apprehending unauthorized persons found on the property, searching and seizing items and investigating suspected thefts.
- May inspect inbound/outbound trucks, interacting with drivers, ensuring they have appropriate documentation and entering information into system
- Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
What You Bring:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 2 to 3 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of security procedures.
- Private security, military, or public police experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Preferred experience with coordination, notification, and creation of security incident reports.
- Hold a current private security license or security guard permit (aka "guard card") if required by state and local regulations, and/or ability to obtain one prior to beginning work.
