Investigator Jobs

An Investigator in the security industry is primarily responsible for conducting thorough and comprehensive investigations into a variety of incidents ranging from breaches of security to criminal activities within an organization. Their daily duties may include gathering and analyzing data, conducting interviews, preparing and presenting investigative reports, and testifying in court if necessary. Investigators may also be required to develop and implement security measures to prevent future incidences.

Important skills for an Investigator in the security industry include excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure. Certification in areas such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) can be beneficial. Prior to becoming an Investigator, a person may have roles such as a Security Officer, Police Officer, or a Private Detective.
