Security Driver Jobs in North Carolina

A Security Driver in the security industry is primarily responsible for safely transporting clients, usually high-profile figures or valuables, to their intended destinations. They are trained to anticipate and avoid potential threats or dangerous situations. Their role involves having an in-depth understanding of vehicle mechanics, emergency driving techniques, defensive driving, and route planning. They also conduct regular checks and maintenance of the security vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition and equipped with necessary safety features.

The essential skills for a Security Driver include excellent driving skills, exceptional alertness, ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies, and good knowledge of local routes and traffic laws. A Security Driver should also have a clean driving record, good physical fitness, and often, a background in law enforcement or military service. Certifications, such as a professional driving license, CPR and First Aid certifications, and specialized training in defensive driving or evasive driving are often required. Prior roles that could lead to becoming a Security Driver include positions such as a Private Security Guard, Police Officer, or a Military Personnel with driving duties.
