Security Guard Jobs in Scranton, PA
A Security Guard is a professional who is responsible for maintaining safety and security within a designated area. They typically patrol and monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules, and often handle emergency situations, such as medical and fire emergencies. A Security Guard must be vigilant, reliable, and have the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations. Important skills a Security Guard should possess include excellent observation skills, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities. Regardless of prior positions, all Security Guards should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and receive on-the-job training to learn specific security procedures and laws related to their job.
