The position acts as liaison between school administrators, students, drivers, and the general public regarding disciplinary problems on buses and safety issues. Helps coordinate safety meetings, seek out recruits, conduct interviews, process recommendations for hire, and train new school bus drivers. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience as a school bus driver required CDL with School Bus Endorsement, or ability to secure such license is required Ability to drive a school bus and perform all associated physical demands is required Must hold certification as a Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) School Bus Driver Trainer, or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire Knowledge of federal and Missouri laws and regulations governing student transportation is required Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships with a diverse workforce Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and respond effectively in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations Proficiency in basic computer applications and data systems is required Ability to function in a multi-tasking, deadline-oriented environment Experience in accident investigation and/or reconstruction, employee training, or safety program implementation is preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality Able to move in and around district buildings and campus locations *Position starts July 1, 2026 Email To A Friend Print Version Postings current as of 4/16/2026 12:17:24 AM CST.
