Security Officer Location: Boulder, CO, 80310 Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $21.00 per hour Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Position Overview Citadel Security USA is hiring a Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer for a daytime position in Boulder. This assignment involves maintaining a professional on-site presence, assisting with site operations, and helping promote a secure environment for employees, contractors, and visitors throughout the day. This role is ideal for someone who works well independently, stays observant during long shifts, and communicates clearly in both routine and unexpected situations. Primary Responsibilities Site Presence & Patrol Maintain a visible security presence throughout assigned areas Conduct scheduled patrols to observe activity and site conditions Watch for hazards, unauthorized activity, or policy concerns Help support daily site operations by remaining attentive and proactive Access & Visitor Assistance Assist employees, guests, and vendors entering or exiting the property Monitor movement around designated areas and entry points Provide professional customer service while enforcing site procedures Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and supervisors during the shift Reporting & Communication Complete daily logs, activity reports, and incident documentation Notify supervisors or dispatch of security-related concerns as needed Maintain accurate records of observations and events during the workday Follow all post instructions and operational guidelines consistently Vehicle & Operational Duties Operate company vehicles when assigned in accordance with safety policies Assist with additional site-related tasks based on operational needs Support a clean, organized, and professional work environment Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to work 12-hour daytime shifts consistently Strong attention to detail and situational awareness Reliable attendance and professional conduct Effective verbal and written communication skills Preferred Background Previous experience in security, patrol, customer service, or a related field Familiarity with report writing and routine documentation procedures Comfortable handling responsibilities with limited direct supervision Work Conditions Combination of indoor and outdoor responsibilities depending on assignment Regular standing, walking, and occasional vehicle operation required Active daytime environment requiring ongoing awareness and responsiveness Equal Opportunity Employer Citadel Security USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
