This position is located in the Physical Security Programs Branch, Security and Emergency Programs Division, Office of Professional Responsibility and Security Operations, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Security and Emergency Programs Division is responsible for all physical security programs for the entire Bureau. The incumbent serves as a Branch Chief under the supervision of the Chief, Security and Emergency Programs Division. To qualify for the Supervisory Physical Security Specialist position at the GS-14 grade level, you must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the GS-14 grade level, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.
Specialized experience must include all of:
- Manages and supervises budget, programs, and personnel; AND
- Carries out and retains knowledge of Physical Security Programs, Operations Security, security regulations relating to the planning, assessment, protection and monitoring of occupied or vacant space; AND
- Conducts facility security surveys, studies, analysis and identifying vulnerabilities, and advising on improvements; AND
- Executes briefings, instructional meetings, and trainings.
