Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Security Officer to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Security Guard, you will work under the direction of the Security Manager to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, in accordance with the New York Gaming Commission and applicable operational standards. What will you do?- Enforce rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the unit, company, and local gaming commission.
- Enforce all departmental and organizational policies and procedures and report incidents.
- Observe and report procedural violations and illegal activity.
- Complete forms and paperwork by the end of each shift.
- Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain guest goodwill.
- Operate motorized vehicle when necessary.
- Must be a state certified security guard and be able to be licensed by state gaming Commission.
- Ability to demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain guest goodwill.

- Team-oriented; ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid drivers license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test.
- Must possess a New York state Security Guard license.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, stooping, lifting, reaching, pushing, and remain sitting on occasion.
- Visual acuity sufficient to identify potential security violations.
- Hearing ability sufficient to respond to the spoken voice, audible alarms and two-way radios.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to handle guest items and various equipment.
- Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Exposure to all weather conditions.
