- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local law enforcement when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and support controlled entry procedures for staff, contractors, and visitors in accordance with site guidelines.
- Maintain readiness to handle alarm response, medical calls, and other urgent situations while following post orders, use of force guidelines, and Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possession of an armed guard card or license is required.
- Possession of a corrections officer license is required.
- Possession of a law enforcement officer license is required.
- Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton qualifications are preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
