How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. Its all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a healthcare location.
• Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification, reviewing visitor requirements, and helping to direct guests, vendors, and staff according to post instructions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting concerns and unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry points and reception areas for unauthorized access, policy violations, and other security-related concerns, helping to deter disruptions and support orderly operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and perimeter locations as directed, noting hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
