Overview
Manage and coordinate day-to-day facility maintenance operations across assigned sites. Responsible for the upkeep, repair, and operational readiness of building systems, equipment, and grounds. Supports the Director of Facilities & Security in executing maintenance programs, vendor management, and regulatory compliance in alignment with company policies and applicable safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily facility maintenance activities including preventive maintenance schedules, repair work, and inspections of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and structural).
- Supervise, schedule, and direct maintenance technicians and contracted service providers; assign and prioritize work orders to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in asset management and work order systems.
- Support compliance with DEA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company safety policies across all facilities.
- Assist in soliciting bids, evaluating vendor proposals, and managing service contracts for maintenance, repair, and facilities-related procurement.
- Monitor lease terms and coordinate with building owners to ensure proper upkeep and resolution of facility-related issues.
- Respond promptly to facility alarms, environmental alerts, and after-hours emergencies; escalate issues to the Director as appropriate.
- Support facility projects including renovations, space reconfigurations, and equipment installations; coordinate work with internal teams and contractors.
- Assist in managing contract security operations, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and access control procedures.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to facilities maintenance and building operations.
- Coordinate conference room setups, employee relocations, and general facilities support for business operations.
- Ensure safe working conditions for all associates; identify and promptly address potential safety or environmental hazards.

Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Training:
- Education/Training: associate or bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Technical training or certification in facilities management, HVAC, electrical, or a related trade is a plus.
Business Experience:
- Experience: Minimum four (4) years of facilities maintenance or building operations experience, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory or lead role. Experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or regulated environment preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of safety (OSHA) and regulatory requirements Technical skills: Hands-on experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, and general property maintenance required.
- Read, interpret and understand detailed repair and instruction/service manuals, documents or blueprints.
- Proficiency with job-specific machinery and equipment.
- Experienced in and comfortable with safe operation of scissor lifts, forklifts and other material handling equipment normally present in a warehouse at heights up to 35'.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with multi-facility maintenance and security.
- Familiar with best practices in procurement in support of manufacturing.
- Must possess good mechanical, electronic and computer skills and be comfortable documenting work in a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Experienced with advanced multi-facility environmental control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Multi-tasker -balancing objectives along with issue resolution and day to day activities.
- Excellent communication skills including but not limited to documentation, presentation and facilitation skills and training and instructions.
- Electro-mechanical aptitude, certification or education preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be physically able to access roof-top air handling systems, building grounds and run-off collection areas, etc.
- Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand or sit.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 45 pounds.
- May be required to respond to after-hours emergencies or facility needs outside of normal business hours.
