Security Officer, Armed Location : Pace, FL Facility : Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital FSED Department: Security Schedule : Night Shift l PRN | 7 P.M. - 7 A.M. Description: How youll make an impact in this role Proactively monitor for and respond quickly and professionally to all security threats, incidents, and hazards. Conduct investigations, meticulously document incidents, and assist in training staff on the environment of care and emergency management procedures/drills. Act as a helpful resource, providing information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote overall safety. Perform foot and vehicle patrols, manage traffic and parking enforcement, and report any potential equipment malfunctions. Maintain safe and responsible driving practices while operating facility vehicles What minimum requirements youll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Class D (Unarmed Security License) and Class G License (Armed Security License) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer date required. BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Law Enforcement preferred. Security Professional preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note : Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
